My job in these roles was to welcome new students and get them into a smooth transition into college. As a coordinator, I was one of four students who helped create and revamp the Orientation process for the Fall 2016 recruitment cycle.But also in different facets such as I was a WheaSpeakCulture leader whose mission was to help administrators and students tackle inequalities at all sectors of the college from running cultural competency trainings to holding forums and presentations to the community.Another aspect of my role happened at nights on one of Wheelock's pieces of campus where I was a security/desk worker. My duties included patrols on the campus, watching the monitors, locking the doors, and helping with any technical assistance that the professors and classes might need. Over the summer this role expanded into a concierge service for different groups staying on campus over the summer where I was required to lead a team of eight students to flip rooms that have been used to rooms that are clean and ready to be used. My role also consisted of being on call twenty-four hours since I had the Residence Life Keys in case someone was locked out.

My peers and those older than me at the company had no issue with taking directives from me because I was able to subtly get everything done without being too power hungry.
