Disaster Recovery Specialist
CurrentDisaster Recovery Specialist - Duties include responding to customer inquiries, providing general information to the public regarding federally declared disasters and SBA's loan programs. Also, assembling and issuing Home and Business loan application packets to disaster victims and preparing appropriate decline letters for applicants that do not qualify for a disaster loan. Additionally making standard outreach calls to disaster victims advising them of the availability of SBA disaster assistance and providing a general overview of the benefits of the disaster loan program. As part of the SBA's Technical Assistance Loan Application Initiative, contacting business owners and managers to create awareness of available free local resources for creating customized plans for economic disaster recovery and business growth. This also includes preparation of written responses to e-mail inquiries received through SBA's disaster customer service mailbox. Internal facing assignments include agent monitoring and providing feedback to promote positive customer interaction and encourage agent professional growth. Additional feedback provided in part by conducting live customer quality survey polls targeting recent customer service interactions. Answer Desk Associate - Duties included researching and responding to customer inquiries using various computer systems and software package. Also provided general information to the public regarding SBA guides for starting and managing businesses, loan programs, government contracting programs and registration requirements as well as availability of local and regional resources.
