I began my career in Law Enforcement with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office in Findlay Ohio in 1985. I retired on June 30, 2012. During my career I worked my way up the ranks of the Sheriff's Office leaving as Sergeant in Charge of the Detective Unit. I also was involved in the Vice Narcotics unit as well as various aspects of training for the office. I became an Instructor with the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission in the early 90's and shortly there after was hired as a part time instructor with Owens Community College Basic Police Academy. After a few years doing that I was moved into the position of Asst. Commander for the Findlay Campus of Owens Police Academy. Upon retirement from the Sheriff's Office I accepted a position as Director for the Center for Safe and Healthy Children in Hancock County. This is a non profit CAC (Child Advocacy Center) where we help children who have been victims of child abuse.
