After 13 years of working as a geophysicist, I have built up a very strong skill set with technical competences from numerous nearshore and offshore geophysical surveys in the offshore wind energy sector, and strategic and management skills from offshore windfarms in UK (England, Scotland, and N. Ireland), Germany, Poland, the US east coast, Korea, Vietnam and Australia). An important part of this work has been to coordinate and oversee the work of survey contractors, survey operations, external consultants and to support key project stakeholders as well as providing Lead Specialist support to colleagues.I have been at the core of the technical development within a team, which is considered to have led the geophysical survey industry in offshore renewables energy sector; an industry which, in the last 10 years, has taken a quantum leap in bathymetric/geophysical survey capability.As Lead Specialist and Technical Manager for the Geophysical and UXO module in Ørsted’s Product Line, I have developed workstreams and processes for a team of very dedicated geophysicists, built interface alignment with key design and installation stakeholders in wind farm projects, and have lead technical development towards the leading survey contractors in the industry in Europe (including the UK), APAC and the US. I have led the creation and implementation of consistent technical and strategic approaches which are well-tailored to individual site conditions and project needs.Most recently, I have taken on the role as SME on site investigations for floating offshore wind farm development, co-developed a track to utilize unmanned surface vessels as platforms for geophysical at project development stage and taken the lead on resetting the technical direction for 3D-UHR Seismic surveys for buried boulders.
