Senior advisor to the Commander on enlisted issues for 12 subordinate units. Evaluated training and proficiency, coordinated organizational changes and reviewed performance reports for 423 Airmen. Represented the unit at senior leader summits addressing operational issues and utilization of Airmen. Gained knowledge of missions at the production level using a hands-on approach. Major units included the 576 Flight Test Squadron (ICBM testing), 17 Test Squadron (satellite and early warning system testing), Integration Division (providing simulated space injects and scenarios for AF-wide exercise support and running the Schriever war-games) and AF Technical Exploitation of National Capabilities (rapid deployment of new war-fighting capabilities in less than 18 months).

Focal point for maintenance performed at 5 Wings in 44 locations across 13 time zones. Resolved sustainment and fielding issues on satellite (MILSTAR, GPS, DSP, SBIRS, AEHF, WGS etc.), early warning (PAVE PAWS, BMEWS, PARCS, Air Force Fence, etc.) and optical systems (GEODSS and MOSS). Reviewed plans, instructions, agreements and concepts to assess system vulnerabilities and operational impact. Investigated critical system faults to expedite resolution and conducted site compliance inspections.

Led maintenance on communications systems supporting the DoD western launch range for ICBM tests, satellite launches and airfield systems. Controlled personnel assignments and determined restoral priorities within the maintenance activity for 55 Airmen.

Led five production work centers maintaining ICBM missile communications systems including radio, satellite and cable systems in a 12,600 square-mile area. Managed all installation land mobile radio and cellular telephone contracts using a $124K budget. Developed and managed $1.2M maintenance budget for the branch.

Led installation, operations and field-level maintenance on mobile radio systems, multiplexers, switches and generators. Directed deployment, maintenance and provided logistical support for five mobile units deploying to previously unseen locations.
