Director Of Programs And DevelopmentAdvertising Research Foundation (Arf) Oct 2023 - Dec 2024New York, New York, UsMy role was the senior leader of the Charitable Foundation's initiative to increase diversity in the advertising, marketing, media and research industries. I led an evolution of the vision and approach to a rapidly changing DEI environment, programs, fundraising, operational execution, events and Board engagement. A few key results include:- Expanded fundraising, including a doubling of grants received. Funded a 20% increase in scholarships awarded and a 146% increase in the size of the cohort of college students admitted into our career preparation program while also adding to the Foundation's reserve account which was not yet fully funded.- Identified opportunities to better serve scholars and university constituents and corporate partners by realigning programs for better strategic fit, increased impact and improved efficiency through quantitative and qualitative research and Board input. Surveys after the changes showed increased constituent participation and satisfaction.- Expanded the number of university partnerships by 20% and nearly doubled the number of corporate volunteers.- Increased the number of internships and number of corporate partners offering internships by 36%.- Established the first two annual CEO Leadership Salon on Diversity events as successful parts of ongoing fundraising, awareness building and organizational thought leadership.- Directed the creation of the Charitable Foundation's first Impact Report, a new brand visual ID, key messaging as well as social media, email, event and presentation marketing materials.- Improved our Candid rating to Gold and corrected an ongoing accounting and tax filing error that had resulted in the Foundation having a 1 Star Charity Navigator rating. -
