Regional Talent ManagerNorthern Diamonds Oct 2021 - May 2023The Regional Talent Manager (RTM) will work across County boundaries in conjunction with their Senior Regional Talent Manager (SRTM), focusing on developing effective relationships with Counties’ Women’s & Girls’ pathways within the region. The RTM will connect County Age Group coaches, players, and programmes to the Women’s Regional Structure within the Diamonds Region ensuring there is a clear alignment between County, Regional and England Women’s Cricket Pathway programmes.Principle Responsibilities:• Influence and support Counties to develop players through programmes that are aligned to the ECBTalent Development Framework to provide a joined up, game wide approach to talent development.• Support Counties in the region to ensure the effective management of talented players who are identified as having the potential to progress on to the Northern Diamonds Cricket Academy to provide a collaborative and individualised approach to their programme delivery.• Support the SRTM as an assistant coach on the Regional Academy programme• Understand, and be able to communicate, the talent identification and recruitment strategy for the Region which aims to ensure programmes are accessible, broadens the player pool and drives diversity and inclusion.• Support Counties with the development of individualised player development plans (IDPs).• Work with the SRTM and Counties to ensure that match play and competition opportunities support talent development effectively for the Region.• Take on a scouting role as part of the Northern Diamonds talent identification & recruitment strategy.• Keep up to date with best practice and expertise across the fields of talent development and attend ECB CPD events and meetings to support the drive for a world leading player pathway.

Head Of Female Talent PathwayNorthumberland Cricket Board Limited Aug 2019 - Sep 2021Main Duties:• Work with the Director of Cricket to develop a clear strategy for the Northumberland County Female Talent Pathway (Women & Girls)• Work with the Director of Cricket, Head of Male talent pathway (Men & Boys) and Assistant Coaches to ensure the whole of Northumberland Cricket Coaching is aligned from top to bottom• Oversee all County Talent Pathway cricket in the county, including County Age Group Squads• Plan and deliver development and competition programmes for County Age Group Squads (both winter and summer)• Develop, maintain and implement a talent development framework to guide pathway delivery, player identification and coach development• Lead the planning, monitoring and delivery of individual development programmes• Lead, organise and manage a support team to deliver the programme (including): age-group coaches and managers; apprentices• Ensure excellent organisation, administration and communication of the pathway programmes to provide efficient and effective programme delivery• Provide effective communication with schools, clubs and parents• Lead the delivery of the North East Warriors coaching programme at under 18 and senior level while ensuring effective communication relating to the nomination and support of pathway players in regional and national programmes (Northern Diamonds)• Comply with the requirements of the County Partnership Agreement and the Pathway Performance • • • Review process to ensure that all related funding is awarded, and best practice installed• Work closely with the ECB National Talent Manager to ensure the on-going advancement of the pathway programmes• On occasions the Head of Female Talent Pathway (Women & Girls) may be asked to support Northumberland in other areas as directed by the Director of Cricket including delivery of boys county pathway programmes. -
Cricket Development OfficerNorthumberland Cricket Board Limited Dec 2014 - Sep 2021Hexham, Northumberland, United KingdomMy role involved coaching, managing, mentoring, club development work and organising festivals/competitions across Northumberland as well as assisting on the ECB National Programme All Stars Cricket.Providing coaching activities, games, festivals and competitions as well as promoting opportunities for volunteering, all activities link into local club and county board programmes which promote access to sustainable participation and are focused towards the Northumberland Cricket Boards six service outcomes.As well as delivering sessions in schools, we work with Northumberland affiliated clubs on their club development; this can range from funding applications and grant bids to assistance with junior or senior training and their coaching. Also work in our Player Pathway Programme; the coaching/training of the counties best players in their specified age group, currently Head Coach of the under 13s boys squad. On top of the Player Pathway Programme also currently coaching and mentoring on the EPP (Emerging Player Programme).Disability cricket is increasing within Northumberland and NCB has set up a partnership with Gateway into the Community to help men and women with learning disabilities to play cricket and to engage more socially. Currently my role involves coaching sessions with the men and women groups and planning/running festivals with other disability organisations.As well as coaching, the role involves numerous hours of admin - planning and organising as mentioned above but also reporting KPI's to various organisations - Northumberland Sport, Sport England and Chance to shine. -
