I am a Loughborough University graduate (2:1) who is a maths enthusiast that has a keen interest in problem solving. I am driven and self motivated person with a passion for extracting valuable insight from data. I am actively looking for my first commercial role to apply the skills I've learnt.I am proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MATLAB and Maple computer software. During my roles I have been required to use Excel and have become very familiar with it. This includes using pivot tables, creating macros (VBA) and using formulas to help automate tasks.My ability to communicate efficiently has been essential, particularly whilst I was a teaching assistant in Madrid. This role required me to interact with a diverse range of people including colleagues, parents and students.Having worked as a teaching assistant across eight different classes simultaneously, I was often given multiple tasks at the same time. It was essential for me to manage these tasks independently to complete them by the set deadline. Furthermore, studying my mathematics degree has required me to work independently on many of my modules in addition to my dissertation.When working abroad in Madrid, I was relied upon by many colleagues whose lessons efficiency relied on collaboration to plan and execute learning activities and coordinate extra support where required.Studying Mathematics has helped me to develop my logical thought process and enabled me to refine my reasoning skills. This was enhanced whilst studying the module Mathematical Thinking where I was required to use common mathematical axioms and apply them to solve problems.
