Senior Manager in the organization who is the face and voice of all public safety matters in the community. Direct and lead all Public Safety operations in an active adult community of 10,000 residents, over 250 employees and several thousand guests and contractors daily. This includes managing a multi million dollar security contract with an external security company consisting of 35 security officers, providing security for all 23 Home Owner Associations in Rossmoor in addition to real estate owned by Golden Rain Foundation. Lead and manage our Emergency Operation Plan for the community, liaison between law enforcement, fire, county emergency operations, city governments and non profit companies to make Rossmoor safer. Responsible for OSHA policies and training, Injury Illness Prevention Program, and employee safety to include active shooter drills, driver safety, and site safety. Required to present reports to the Golden Rain Foundation Board of Directors, HOA presidents, Committees and the community. Assess and implement new access control technology to include analytic CCTV cameras, automatic license plate readers, card readers, RFID identification cards, using CPTED practices, instituting an improved customer service experience over the telephone program, installing wildfire cameras, and improving CEO safety.

The Executive Lieutenant is a limited duration assignment and is part of the Police Departments Executive Team which is the Chief, Captains and Executive Lieutenant. Responsible for the professional staff employees to include, dispatch, records, police service officers, technology team and volunteers. Also responsible for hiring, training, technology and was the public information officer. Handled on the job injuries, Cal-Osha requirements, human relations, policy development, prepared staff reports to City Council and internal affairs investigations. Was one of the assistant commanders on our regional SWAT team and managed our Bomb Squad. Sought grants from local, regional, state and federal institutions. Oversaw contracts for records management systems, computer aided dispatch systems, police radio systems, computer systems, phone systems and alarm management systems. Developed our CCTV systems to protect police and city assets.

Manage, lead, mentor and develop leaders in law enforcement. Managed and entered in several contracts. Oversaw the patrol budget and other special team budgets. Helped develop the Central County Regional SWAT Team. Handled internal affairs investigations and was a public information officer.

Supervised, led and mentored our detectives in both persons crimes and property crimes. Joined Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and oversaw the completion of several cases involving these crimes. Also over saw and directed homicide cases and high profile crimes.

Supervise, mentor and lead teams of patrol officers to serve the community of Walnut Creek. Also, created our Police Information Technology Team to identify new technologies for the organization, provide training on existing technologies and develop new programs. Supervised our Driver's Training Team and brought our first Automatic License Plate Reader system to Walnut Creek. Also became a Crisis Negotiator and supervised our SWAT's Crisis Negotiation Team.

Investigated serious and high profile crimes and prepared the cases for the District Attorney's Office and the Courts. During this time I started the central county property crimes detective consortium. I also worked on the Counties Auto-theft Taskforce and started our Lo-Jack system to locate stolen vehicles.

Provide public safety service to the community of Walnut Creek. Within this role I was Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer where I taught 5th grade students how to handle and avoid negative peer pressure. I also was selected to be one of our Drive Team Instructors where I trained new and veteran officers on how to effectively drive a patrol car at high speeds, pursuits and slow speed maneuvers. I became a Field Training Officer where I trained new officers out of the academy to be proficient solo officers.
