Hello, my name is Thomas Chastain Jr. I am a 26 year old Father of a 5 year old little girl as well as a loving spouse and a lifelong citizen of Rockdale County Ga. Currently, I am employed by Harvard Chemical Research in Atlanta Ga. I also run and operate Rockdale Jobs Group Inc which is a Nonprofit Organization that In which I Founded. However, I have worked in the Chemical Production industry for over 10 years. In that time, I have developed skills such as leadership and efficiency management which have lead me to positions such as Shipping Coordinator, Production Manager, and even Operations coordinator in which my abilities lead the companies to outstanding results.Later in my career, my interest in the Chemical Industry lead me to starting and operating my own Janitorial Supplies Company. By using valuble business connections I was able to offer a line of High Concentrate Cleaning Products to a wide variety of industries for Half the cost on the consumer end and a profit margin averaging of 23% higher than my competitors.After 2 years of successful operation, I made the decision to halt operations in order to dedicate my time to bringing down Rockdale counties unemployment rate and putting my neighbors Back to work. It started as a Facebook Group (www.facebook.com/groups/rockdalejobs) which gives employers a base of over 4500 jobseekers local to the area to post any job openings to for FREE. Once we reached 4500 members in a matter of months, it became clear we could do more.In March 2015 I organized our first Job Fair. 13 employers attended as did 600+ job seekers. The day was a great success with 200 of the 600 getting placed into positions. Throughout the year I was able to organize another Jobfair with 15 employers bringing in 800 Jobseekers. After seeing the success brought in my decison was made to go nonprofit and do more for the community.
