About Thomas Chester

Tom Chester, Vice President for Human Resources/CHRO, is a member of the President's Executive Leadership team at Princeton Theological Seminary who works strategically with various departments across the campus to serve their organizational needs and craft innovative Human Resources solutions. Tom partners with employees and managers on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with Seminary policy and employment laws and regulations. He leads the HR team on a variety of projects to support the Seminary community. Before joining the HR team at PTSem, Tom served for 20 years in a variety of HR roles and functional areas at Gonzaga University, Stockton University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and in the public sector. Tom holds a master’s degree in human resources management from Rutgers University, as well as other advanced degrees from the Gregorian University in Rome and Catholic University of America.
