My passion for understanding how things work started well before I began my undergraduate career at the University of Vermont (UVM) studying Biomedical Engineering. My undergraduate accomplishments at UVM include a summer research position which resulted in a publication, and building a device to move and lift 20 ft ISO shipping containers for a local company. Following graduation I worked for the Cold Regions Research Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in Hanover, NH. During my summer position at CRREL I worked on a machine learning generative adversarial network (GAN) to remove snowflakes from images. I started my Master's in Mechanical Engineering in August 2021. My thesis involves creating a three-dimensional particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) code to track snowflakes through frames in a video to compute the flow-field of a scene.My goal is to contribute to technology advancement.
