Responsibilities:During this position, I led comprehensive company-wide strategic planning as an essential member of the senior management team. It was I who enhanced the efficiency of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for product development, covering planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support tracking. Moreover, I oversaw the growth of development teams, scaling from modest sizes to over 30 in both the HK and SZ offices. I also coordinated support for critical products, including GOMS, Market Making System, low-latency exchange connectivity for hedge funds, Order Routing, Market Data Distribution, and real-time Margin Risk analysis based on SPAN calculations.Selected Accomplishments:• Pioneered new products, including a low-latency trade framework achieving a roundtrip time of 100 microseconds and a high-performance system capable of handling millions of messages per second, automating trading and orders within microseconds to support market making.• Delivered tailor-made solutions to clients for bolstering proprietary order routing network and external public trading networks.• Revamped Object-Oriented Design, OOD framework concepts while preserving more than 50% of the source code intact.• Elevated the generic Order Management System, OMS to the status of a high-availability trading platform by utilizing distributed multi-threaded components that run seamlessly on optional high-availability hardware.• Implemented a load-balancer to efficiently scale up processing in areas such as market data distribution and risk management.• Pioneered the development of a virtual throttle controller tailored for the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, enabling placement of orders from various units, including Retail Sales, Prop Desk, and Algo Trade desk, each with its own throttle rate.• Facilitated order routing to a group of exchange gateways, optimizing their utilization across the organization, rather than assigning dedicated gateways per biz unit.
