Performed financial analysis, including the testing of internal accounting control procedures and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of secured commercial loan clients. Commercial loan clients were companies with credit exposures ranging from $1,000,000 to $250,000,000 in various industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, service related, wholesale distribution and retail. The position was required to develop audit plans for the different clients based on the analysis of the client's prior year independent auditor's report and interim financial statements as provided by the client.The purpose of the examinations was to establish the validity and existence of collateral for the commercial loan. In order to document the existence of collateral, performance of interim inventory testing, including sample counts and price testing, was performed. In addition, accounts receivable balances were substantiated by performing revenue testing, which included the substantiation of sales and shipment of product and the determination that unrecorded payments had not been received from their customer.Prepared examination reports and communicated the results to the appropriate loan officers and worked with various individuals, both loan officers and underwriters, throughout the company in identifying the risks and resolving deficiencies and irregularities that may have been discovered during the examination.
