About Thomas Couch
Tom is a Principal Engineer within the Naval Engineering Business Unit at BMT DAS UK with over 20 years' experience in naval surface ship design and in-service support, providing project management, design management, engineering and design consultancy in multidisciplinary teams. Tom has experience in leading the design and integration of a number of propulsion systems and their associated ancillary systems and services including control, electrical power generation, electrical distribution systems, and steering systems, including involvement in the tender, contract, and technical acceptance management of the supply chain for such systems and equipment. Tom also has experience in working with national and international defence clients and ship yards such as UK MoD, Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation, Australian Defence Materiel Organisation, DSME, THALES and BAE Systems.
