In this line of work, I am responsible for delivering car parts to a number of different garages, car dealerships and private companies throughout Worcestershire. Important aspects of the job include driving safely and representing the company in a professional manner at all times, collecting cash sales and returning items to the correct branch, carrying out regular van maintenance checks and lifting heavy vehicle components. From time to time, I am also required to help in the warehouse where I handle deliveries and orders, maintain accurate stock levels, assist with quality control and ensure that all paperwork and records of delivery are kept up to date.

I applied to this position through an agency called Pertemps. In this role, I am responsible for a frame or number of frames during the week where I have to sort the post and delivery packets/parcels for the route that I am covering. Whilst preparing the frame, I also take care of any missorted items and redirections to avoid any incorrect items being delivered or left in the office. While out on delivery it is my responsibility to clear any high priority tracked items or special deliveries. This has improved my problem solving skills as there would be times where a route will need to be altered to ensure items are delivered on time.

In this role I adhere to targeted average handle times as well as delivering high quality customer service in a demanding role. I would assist customers with several enquires from troubleshooting products, delivery chase up as well as taking orders. Regular feedback sessions with quality monitored calls would help me see where my strengths lied but more importantly, where I could improve my performance.

Due to an internal promotion from my previous phone operative role, I had been accepted to join the companies eComm team. Within this role I am trusted to resolve customer enquiries via emails and external phone calls while handling personal data to adhere to data protection laws. My skills as a team player and communication have greatly improved while working with team members who have dealt with previous contacts. As well as being trained on emails I help carry out customer service roles for the companies Amazon, eBay, Social media sites and review sites such as Yotpo and Trustpilot.

In this job I had to work front of house taking food orders and relaying orders back to kitchen staff while also answering the phone for delivery orders. I also had routinely support other areas of the takeaway such as helping pack orders in the kitchen or doing the washing up of plastics and metals that have been used throughout the night. I am also confident in handling currency and credit transactions quickly and accurately.

For two nights a week, I worked with an office manager and between us we had to handle phone calls from customers and restaurants as well as organising several drivers on where they had to go. During phone calls, I had to take down key information such as the address and telephone number of the customer to help aid the drivers. This also involved taking card payments over the phone and making calls between restaurants to let them know they had orders.
