In the role of overseeing the company's expansion and restructuring, the focus lies on growing operations in the Middle East and Africa, particularly targeting end-to-end solutions for Project and Oil & Gas Clients. This involves identifying potential ports and future port projects to earmark new terminal setups for the group.Additionally, I am responsible for transitioning the QHSE management system to ISO45001 standards and preparing for certification. Currently, efforts are directed towards expanding the scope of ESG reporting and rolling out a digital QHSE Platform to ensure compliance and readiness for certification.

During this period, I took a sabbatical to focus on family and personal health after 17 years abroad and seven years of separation from family. Supported son's transition into his first year of school and enabled wife's return to the workforce. Addressed personal health issues to ensure long-term well-being. During this period, I also worked as a freelance consultant on various logistics projects, maintaining professional engagement and skills.

I joined Panalpina as the Country Manager for Iraq, my mission was to register and develop Panalpina's presence in Iraq & Kurdistan. Later, I took on additional responsibility for Kuwait due to changes in the Middle East Area setup. My role demanded overseeing the country's EBIT, ensuring exceptional service quality to exceed customer expectations, and optimising transactions to boost sales while reducing costs. I travelled extensively around the region focused on driving strong growth and maximising business potential, expanding customer relationships, and fostering a culture of high productivity and employee development. Implementing robust HSE and internal control systems was paramount, alongside strict adherence to global processes, policies, and standards, while also complying with local laws.Key Accomplishments:- Established Panalpina in Iraq & Kurdistan: Incorporated Panalpina in Iraq & Kurdistan, establishing a basic operational setup in both countries.- Iraq's Largest MRO Contract: Won the BGC (Basrah Gas Company) Contract, the largest MRO Contract in Iraq, a 3-year contract with an optional 2-year extension, now in its 8th year with DSV.- Major Project Delivery: Won and delivered the ENI Zubair IPF, 6 production facilities in the Basrah region, handling over 200k Freight tons.- Setting up Infrastructure: Successfully set up spaceports and maintenance operations for Ericson in Kurdistan.- Business Integration: Integrating Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar into a cluster, managing a business with 50 staff.

Initially engaged with GAC as the Key Accounts Manager for the Chevron Shipping Account under a joint contract between Chevron Shipping and GAC, in order to control the operation and managing activities on 2 Chevron Shipping operated FSO’s (Floating Storage & Offloading). Duties included all activities from managing spare parts to crew logistics, husbandry to cargo export.A sudden vacancy within the organization resulted in promotion to General Manager Manning Services, with the priority target to reorganize the division and bring it back to profitability. Overall profitability was achieved within the first 10 months and developed into a steady trend for the past 2 years with another top result expected this year.During this time successfully managed the implantation of Softline VIP, a state-of-the-art ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for the improvement of HR and Payroll administration, in addition to getting a BV ISO 9001 accreditation for the company.

Onne Oil & Gas Free Zone’s Federal Lighter Terminal (FLT) consists of a 1,675 metre long Quay, a 400,000 m2 Industrial Area and 33,000 m2 Warehouse area and as Terminal Superintendent FLT & Logistics Coordinator for SNEPCO (Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company) was responsible for:• Coordinating all cargo handling services at FLT, Onne• Control of equipment and work force, scheduling of gangs and equipment for stacking area and quayside• Liaison with port authorities and customs• Control of internal documentation and correspondence with clients• Logistics Coordinator SNEPCO, coordinating & executing all SNEPCO/ SPDC logistics operation in the Free Zone• Operating and Maintaining SNEPCO’s 175.000 m2 OCTG and Project Material Storage facility at OnneThe first three months with Intels was spent as Terminal Superintendent for Terminal A at the FOT (Federal Ocean Terminal) in Onne. Basic responsibilities included tracking and coordinating all cargo movements within the Terminal and interacting with Clients and Port Authorities, in addition to coordinating the workforce and equipment with a priority focus on the safety and standards of all operations.Transferred to FLT as the Base Superintendent, in charge of all FLT operations and the maintenance of the terminal’s infrastructure and coordinating the entire workforce.As a result of successfully streamlining operations at the FLT and increasing customer satisfaction, was chosen by the Base Management of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production, to join their offices as dedicated in-house staff to coordinate their logistical operations and maintain their 175,000 m2 storage facility in Onne.This lead to being involved in all major projects of Shell Nigeria, which were handled through their Onne base, which included Bonga, FYIP, NCTL, EGGS, etc. A major achievement was successfully training a team of Nigerians over a 36 month period and managing to achieve a zero LTI at over 1 million man-hours.
