Conducting research in the Personal Informatics space related to Information Visualisation and Human Computer Interaction. Especially interested in how casual users engage with data and the kinds of insights they want to gain from their own personal data. Currently focusing on music listening history.

I worked for 7 months as a visiting researcher with Emily Wall in the Cognition and Vision Lab before joining as a full time PhD student.

Worked on agile development and maintenance of a real-time, geographical, big data front-end visualisation project. Primary development involved Javascript and CSS alongside frameworks such as React and GraphQL.

Developed a data ingestion system as a proof of concept for future use at BAE. Worked with big data technologies and clustered environments implanting the ingestion pipeline utilising Nifi, Kafka, HDFS, ElasticSearch and Ambari. Wrote extensive Unit Tests to verify our system.Won first place in the innovation stretch project as part of a team of 3 for our solution to 'Improving Public Transport'.

Following an internship the previous summer I worked as a full time software developer before I began my undergraduate degree. Experienced diverse range of roles, working on the support and QA desk before working as one of 4 software developers to maintain and develop new features for the software product. Utilised SQL to tidy and repair the companies databases and wrote code using Delphi.
