ResponsibilitiesAt 2022 we work with a variety of business to deliver creative and innovative solutions for seasonal campaigns and in store promotions. Working along side account managers to interpret customer briefs and then develop creative pitches followed by designs that fulfil the clients needs.Collaborate with other members of the creative team to develop ideas for pitch work and innovation days with visiting clients. Manage multiple projects to ensure all are delivered on time and to the highest level.Store visits with account managers to measure up, test and install displays. Create white and colour samples for customer approval.Providing technical knowledge and support to account managers as well as construction guides for assembly staff and end users.

Undertaking research and development projects to increase profitability.Working closely with the sales team and customers to advise on projects.On-site customer visits to discuss future and current projects.A member of a small studio team; processing, designing and setting on average 500 jobs a week.Pre-press small format jobs such as booklets and leaflets up to SRA3.AchievementsFor the launch of Carling Cider in March 2013 I designed and helped produce 170 hand-finished personalised presentation boxes; one for each drinks buyer in every major supermarket in the country. This project required weeks of research, planning and design development, as well as numerous meetings with the client, resulting in the production of an extremely high quality final product.After the success of the Carling Cider presentation boxes Foscos Hayes Hurdley was approached by HP to produce 1000 high quality, hand-finished boxes which contained a personalised book advertising HP Large Format Printers; the idea being that this product would exhibit the quality that can be achieved using HP products. After weeks of development using previously untested paper types as well as textured laminates a sample was produced that reached far beyond the customer’s expectations.

ResponsibilitiesCreating one-off bespoke cardboard prototypes to customer specification. These were plain or full colour digitally printed mock-ups, with a turnaround from briefing to customer delivery of 1-2 days.Working in conjunction with production personnel to improve design for manufacture.Meeting with customers to discuss and advise on their proposals, including timeframes.To produce ergonomic end products from concept design through production, ensuring that maximum customer sales are achieved.AchievementsI became the sole Point of Sale Structural Designer at Kenton Instore after minimal training.Undertook a post-launch design review of a previous product for a major supermarket brand, which yielded a 20% customer cost reduction for the following year.In December 2015 whist visiting Waitrose and Tesco stores, I saw the same Point of Sale unit that I had designed for the ‘Radio Times’ 6 years earlier. This demonstrated the longevity of my design and obvious customer satisfaction with the product.
