A creative, charismatic and faithful leader who promotes life and dignity for all people, Tom has experience in social justice, education, public policy, interreligious dialogue, blogging and radio production. Director of Justice and Peace for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, he works with clergy, religious, parishioners, and fellow Catholic Charities staff, educating them on Catholic social teachings and connecting them with opportunities in advocacy and service. Tom is also producer of the JustLove Radio Broadcast on the Catholic Channel Sirius XM Satellite Radio 129.Tom currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of the national Board of The Roundtable Association of Catholic Social Action Directors. In June 2015, he was invited to participate in a dialogue at the Vatican, meeting with Pope Francis and the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) at the Buddhist-Catholic Dialogue on Suffering, Liberation and Fraternity. Tom has also traveled to Africa with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), to promote their work and support development. A graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Manhattan College, Tom was previously Criminal Justice Outreach Coordinator for Catholic Charities, as well as Coordinator of the Archdiocesan Public Policy Education Network. In these roles, he advocated nationally and in New York State for policies enhancing and supporting peace and social justice. Tom's career also includes experience working in health care and human resources. Some of Tom’s honors include the 2019 John F. Hurley, S.J. Commendation from Fordham University, the 2017 Cabrini Immigrant Services' Liberty and Justice Award, the Terrence Cardinal Cooke Award for Outstanding Service, the CYO Shining Star Award, the Stein Fellow of Law and Ethics at Fordham University, the Pope John XXIII Medal for Peace Studies at Manhattan College, and a November 2017 New York State Senate Proclamation recognizing these achievements.
