For 20 years, I have practiced law with a focus on employment litigation and counseling on behalf of management. I successfully litigate on behalf of employers in state and federal courts and administrative agencies over a wide variety of employment law matters, including the defense of claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, whistle-blowing, and wage and hour compliance (ranging from single-plaintiff matters to class/collective actions). In addition, I frequently defend and prosecute claims based upon employee disloyalty, employee raiding, misappropriation of trade secrets, and enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Beyond my litigation practice, I counsel employers on an array of employment policies, such as hiring practices, prevention of unlawful workplace harassment, leaves of absence, terminating employees, and preventive strategies for avoiding litigation. I also draft employment-related agreements (such as executive employment agreements, non-competition/non-solicitation agreements, confidentiality agreements, separation agreements and employee handbooks) and conduct internal investigations and workplace training.
