Project Engineer• Cradle to Grave Design• Project/Team Management• Technical File CreationIn my role as project engineer I am responsible for the oversight of entire designs from their initial concept pitch to a review board, through to production and final operator training. At any one time I would have 2-3 large projects, managing teams up to six people including; purchasers, fitters, technical clerks, draughtsmen and other project engineers. Reporting to Engineering Department heads and Global Managers it is my responsibility that designs meet specifications, cost and deadlines. Common responsibilities include, pricing and costing of a job, designing and modifying existing designs to meet customer specification, organising purchasing and delivery of components, monitoring and problem solving during the fabrication and testing, producing technical construction files, manuals and data packs, and assistance in conformance of the equipment too current British and EU standards.During projects I reported to the general managers and lead project engineers while dealing frequently with heads of departments, Senior engineers and workshop staff.
