After collaborating and working towards a merger with this organization for the purpose of minimizing redundancy in operations and providing a broader resource pool under one roof I am responsible for coordinating and training members in technical rescue and coordinating the medical first response for those members who are trained to do so.

Management of the departments health and safety program as well as the peer support team. I also manage the acquisition and management of all EMS supplies, equipment, and devices. I support the education branch with administrative duties and instructor support including teaching the EMR program, CPR and other required annual courses.

In addition to roles as a firefighter I now am responsible for the safe operation to and from all incident scenes. Ensuring that all equipment is operational or reported for repairs. I am also required to act as captain in the absence of the captain requiring supervision of up to 4 people on the assigned apparatus and potentially serving as incident command.

Under general supervision respond to and mitigate responses to fire, medical, general and technical rescue, and hazardous materials incidents. As needed operate and drive any assigned apparatus as a relief driver/engineer.

Public safety product sales including products from FLIR, Whelen, Code 3, Innotex, and many more to various public safety agencies across Middle Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau.

Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance. Dispatch fire, rescue, emergency medical services, and law enforcement personnel to emergency and non-emergency requests for service.

Provide quality medical care to the citizens and visitors of the county. Patient care and management with proper and adequate documentation. Also a member of the Rutherford County EMS Honor Guard.

Provide fire and medical services to the assigned fire district. Also provide public fire education and CPR/First Aid training to individuals in the area. Provide leadership, oversight of training of members and maintenance of apparatus.

Provide patient care, transport, and documentation for those patients in my charge. Public education in CPR and first aid.

Worked as primary training officer for new and existing members and records management officer. During this time frame I wrote a successful grant for over $90,000 to replace all SCBA and structural PPE for 8 members.

Under general supervision operated in IDLH environments to perform fire and rescue operations. Also, responded to medical calls as an EMT-IV and Paramedic. Worked with leadership to provide fire safety training to the local elementary school annually.

Worked alongside volunteer members to provide general and technical rescue including rope and swift water rescue.
