As young boy I watched my Father use carpentry skills to build many things. Some, nothing more than basic utilitarian items, such as a workbench and others as creative and ingenious as a full size wooden biplane to play out my child adventures in.The simple joy of watching the many projects take shape was always a creative wonder to me. During my early teen years I enjoyed assisting him in the rebuilding of a few autos and engines from Junker to a refurbished auto. That ingrained ability, to envision and create, to fix things that no longer work properly, has served to propel my career from a fine finish cabinetmaker to manage plastics manufacturing and the invention of over 20 successful US Patented products sold through major retail locations worldwide. A compelling attention to detail combined with a simple, everyman focus, of desirable market products provided tenure experience at every level from manufacturing through concept, design, development, packaging, marketing and one on one sales to Major Retailers.The 2005 founding and startup of Dragonfly Innovation Corp. was the product of my vision to provide the major retail market with affordable recreational kayaks and water sport accessories with inventive designs and, at the time, a radical process of manufacture. The culmination of 5 years of effort provided successful worldwide sales of Patented kayak designs that revolutionized the industry and continue to impact the market to this day. The 2010 Lifetime Products Corp. Acquisition of all Dragonfly Innovation assets and Intellectual Property Rights culminated in their #1 market share position as the premier recreational kayak manufacturer serving major retail in the US and foreign markets.As the Owner of Brite Idea Inc. Consulting Group I continue to enjoy the process of new product development and its market success at major retailers worldwide.
