Participatory Research by OSIParticipatory Research is real research projects carried out by scientific volunteers, children or adults. Anyone can become a scientific volunteer, regardless of their knowledge and skills. Our science educators, through OSI's own educational tools, empower and involve scientific volunteers to acquire the skills that will enable them to contribute to the Participatory Research Projects. Those are grouped by the me within Programmes. Our Programme Managers are responsible for ensuring the proper progress of projects, the development of collaborations with academic research institutes or even the valorisation of the data collected.Education as key to the Sustainable Development GoalsAt OSI, we believe that everyone's involvement in the Sustainable Development of the planet can only be achieved through science education and the learning of scientific reasoning. The rise of extremism, and society's too slow reaction to the environmental challenges we are currently experiencing, reveal the urgent need to (re)give today's and tomorrow's citizens the critical sense that is acquired through the practice of science. We give a particular importance to the dimensions of entrepreneurship, taking responsability and autonomy, in order to enable citizen, kids or adults, to behave as actors and leaders of the change they want to see accomplished.
