As a part of my role within the organisation I am tasked with creating engaging employability and personal social development sessions whilst maintaining high levels of inclusive teaching to candidate’s needs, successfully embedding functional skills and promoting the use of assistive software. Additionally I am responsible for supporting candidates with varying health conditions, disabilities and learning difficulties to gain sustainable employment as well provide information advice and guidance. Within my position I am required to keep and maintain accurate records of customer activities using in house software to adhere to compliance.

North Wales

Delivering employability focused training to the unemployed ensuring customers receive exceptional training sessions to help them in their journey back into the workplace. Liaising with Job Centre Plus offices with regards to referrals and courses offered within the Support Contact. I was responsible for creating SMART targets for client’s as well as providing advice and guidance around work related activities. Additionally I was tasked to provide exciting and creative sessions as part my role whilst ensuring literacy and numeracy are incorporated within sessions. Adhering to all policies and procedures with the company and maintaining high levels of professionalism when facing clients.

Supporting over 90 customers on a one to one basis, and larger groups, creating tailored support plans to allow customers to return to work and maintain professional development. tasked with for SMART targets for individuals, giving advice and guidance around work and training opportunities, allowing customers to achieve their full potential. Ensuring all targets are achieved to a high standard maximizing performance . Through this post I have had the opportunity to liaise with employers and recruitment agencies, creating opportunities for apprenticeships, work experience placements and sustainable employment. I have also work with agencies to create Employability programmes for learners to engage with. This is reflected within my work alongside Job Centre Plus, and my creation and development of the Motiv8 programme (which is still utilised by Shrewsbury College). This programme aimed at addressing the needs of the unemployed through tackling their barriers to employment, such as the restoration of self-esteem. This programme has seen many individuals secure training and employment following its successful completion.

Duties included the completion of internal and external verifications / moderations. Teaching a range of academic levels from one to four, confident and competent working at each level. This role saw me acted as course coordinator for a level one start up programme, including the creation of the syllabus, taking a lead role in interviewing candidates, and organising a diverse and accurate time table to meet learners needs. As part of this role, I created in depth support plans, and individualised risk assessments, as well as liaising with parents, carers and a multidisciplinary team to ensure learners welfare was maintained. During my work on the level one start up programme, I developed key competencies working with individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities. As a personal tutor role i was responsible for offering guidance, creating SMART targets with learners, and monitoring learner’s progress and attendance. I was required to provide exciting and creative lesson plans as part of this role, and ensured literacy and numeracy was always embedded into the curriculum.
