Work within the Maintenance Department to plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance assignments. Plan more extensive projects up to a year in advance for plant shutdowns. Responsible for procurement/purchasing of parts/services/equipment needed for planned/corrective jobs and future projects. Hold meetings to discuss maintenance KPI’s and future schedule/planned jobs. Extensive work with CMMS’s to clean and maintain backlog and schedule jobs. Work directly with vendors and contractors to ensure delivery, aptitude, and completion of equipment and services. Track cost of time, and materials for all maintenance jobs. Identify job site hazards and ensure that all appropriate job precautions have been included in work orders. Issue all planned maintenance work orders and permits through CMMS, WEPS, and hand written special permits ie. Hot Work, Working at Height, etc…

Plan, create, execute, and manage a Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Plan for the entire manufacturing plant. Train Operators in level 1 maintenance tasks and carry out all other levels of preventive and corrective maintenance. Work with suppliers to order, track, and organize industrial spare parts stock. Record monthly internal and external maintenance costs along with machine downtime. Work with contractors to perform maintenance/repairs/ installations. Responsible for recording and methodically improving plant floor 5S Lean Manufacturing Process. Designer and fabricator for all internal fabrication projects. Responsible for in-house installations. Other duties include but are not limited to assisting in quality control, warehouse loading & unloading, production, and all machine installation, and start-up operations.

Recruited by SANJO as the first American hire for SANJO’s new plant in Virginia, I was flown to Spain for 6 months for indoctrination to company goals, systems/machinery, and way of operation before embarking on the opening of SANJO VB Inc. While in Spain, I was also instrumental in identifying and helping execute preemptive steps needed, required for SANJO to open a new plant in the US.
