Child Protection Technical Coordinator
CurrentAs a Child Protection Technical Coordinator, I am leading the development and management of the IRC South Sudan Country Program's Child Protection and Education Programs. In accordance with the CPMS 2009, I have designed multiple protection programs in a humanitarian context for the last four years, focusing on preventing abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence against conflict and crisis-affected children and assisting those who have already been harmed to heal, recover, and feel safe again. I am well experienced in the following components of CP responses, including case management, family tracing and reunification, mental health and psychosocial support, and Community Based Child Protection Mechanisms (CBCPM) to address the dire needs of the most vulnerable children and their caregivers. I have been designing and implementing multiple programs for the following donors: BHA/OFDA, BPRM, SIDA, GFFO, DFID/FCDO, IrishAid, SV, UNICEF, OCHA/SSHF, and End Violence. I am supporting all the IRC sectors such as GBV, education, health, nutrition, and livelihood to be conscious while program design, strategic, aligned, and directed toward a stronger response and protection mainstreaming of promoting meaningful access, safety, and dignity in humanitarian response with due emphasis on gender equality and the inclusion of people with disability.I supervise six program managers in various field locations, overseeing over 61 staff. I am also responsible for budget management and approval of payments and procurement requests up to a maximum of $7,000. Producing periodic donor reports, lesson learnt and success stories regularly. Additionally, coordinating and networking with various clusters, such as Protection and Education Clusters, the CP Sub-Cluster, and the PSEA task force. Additionally, I have experience participating in donor meetings to share programmatic lessons learned, conduct needs assessments, and identify new funding sources to improve child wellbeing and safety.
