• Responsible for client vetting and case management of storm victims seeking repairs to their homes. • Facilitated the return of 18 families to safe, sanitary, and secure living conditions.• Implemented an outreach campaign to connect to over 700 homes potentially suffering from storm damage in Richland and Lexington Counties, South Carolina.• Lead a canvasing campaign to find storm victims not previously identified by other recovery organizations. • Assisted in grant writing and reporting.• Coordinated joint recovery efforts with the City of Columbia and Richland County governments respective development offices, as well as other organizations including United Way and members of the Midlands Flood Recovery Group.

As part of a National Science Foundation grant I was hired to assist in the creation and implementation of a summer seminar for high school students to learn about bioinformatics and agronomy from higher education professors. The position began in the summer of 2015 and I managed the program again in 2016. My duties included:• Managing a budget to run the week-long residential program.• Strictly adhered to a grant from the National Science Foundation.• Organized a week of food, housing, transportation, educational activities, and entertainment for 16 local high school students.• Created and conducted an evaluation of the workshop to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program for NSF.
