I worked as a Mate and deckhand-engineer in the yachting industry, mainly in the Mediterranean Sea but also in the Bahamas and on the East coast of the USA and completed an Atlantic crossing. I shared my working and living place with crew members from all over the word, teaching me how to handle cultural differences and developing patience and empathy for my colleagues, who became family. Working under different captain's authority made me aware of the wide array of possibilities when choosing a management style or more specifically addressing an issue.
