I have a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, emphasizing in insect community ecology, taxonomy, and identification, and a year and a half of experience as a research assistant in an entomology lab. I continued my studies in an M.S. program at California State University, East Bay, until accepting full-time employment with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife.I spent three and a half years with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife studying food webs in the San Francisco Estuary, a large and heavily impacted estuarine system.
