Tom, a 1982 Annapolis grad, served as a Naval Flight Officer in the S-3 Viking, including tours as a flight instructor, Carrier Airwing staff, and Foreign Military Sales program manager. His logbook reflects service on eight different aircraft carriers, with 2500 flight hours and 400 arrested landings. With exchange sea tours aboard Spanish and British vessels, he transitioned to Foreign Military Sales Program Management in 1994, with responsibility for aircraft cases with Greece, Thailand and Australia.In 1998, Tom reported to Pax River, as an Aerospace Engineering Duty officer. He served at NAVAIR as T-45 Goshawk Class Desk Officer/Chief Engineer, and as NAVAIR 6.8, Fleet Readiness Logistics lead, retiring as a Navy Captain in 2007. He joined BAE Systems as an Operations Director in 2007, and joined the Navy Alliance Board in 2008. In 2022, Tom retired from industry, and assumed the role of President of the Southern Maryland Navy Alliance.
