I am currently working as a Senior Technician where I am tasked to help my team by achieving their objectives of getting the work completed on time and to the highest standards, whilst following health and safety standards. We are building the infrastructure of Gigaclear’s point to point and pon networks, following BT’s Pia and Gigaclear’s specification. - Manager 2 teams of 6 engineers.- Supervise/audit external contractors.- Complete audits on internal and external works. - Dealing with high priority/CEO complaints. - Installation of sub-duct,MSTs and fibre cables.- Building and splicing into Tenios,Hellerman joints,Fists and cabinet’s (PON&P2P networks).- Testing on completion of works using HRD’s, OTDR meter, OX1 and a Visual fault locator.- Surveying areas - Then completing a report/Job pack on whats required to complete the works. - Training new employees.- Finding alternative ways of completing works to reduce costings and getting the design changes actioned. - Completing RAMS. (Risk Assesment Method Statements).- As builds. - The use of Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
