Prior to medicine I graduated first in my year, second in the UK, in pharmacology where my background was in inflammatory cell biology. My DPhil (PhD) was with the Oxford Orthopaedic Engineering Centre, University of Oxford, where my thesis focused on assessment of the arthritic knee.My current research activities are focused on the development, translation and clinical evaluation of novel treatments for knee arthritis.
