Utilising my marketing skills from a career in property, and statistical analysis from my time at Find Me A Gift, I was appointed Marketing and Contracts Manager at Alpha Power Cleaning, a nationwide operating cleaning company, working for large, blue-chip clients such as Sainsbury’s, Jaguar Land Rover and BMW. My responsibilities ranged from management of the website, including building the website from scratch, facilitation of relevant paperwork to clients such as RAMS, Invoices H&S inspections, procurement of high value contracts and devising innovative marketing strategies to take the company forward.

After being hired at Jackson Rose, my main duties were to first assist in hiring another member of staff for the office, assess the best strategy for gaining more instructions and establishing ourselves in the market, attending all the valuations and fighting to instruct them with ourselves. I also began to deal with some commercial property for the first time, dealing with much more of the property maintenance aspects, communicating with registered suppliers on our lists should any of our tenants require works and I also assisted with the rebrand of the company.This position has given me valuable experience in leading a team, identifying a person’s strengths and areas in which they can improve, finding ways to improve the overall performance of the office and handling the little details of a business.

They covered everything I may encounter in a career in Estate Agency, from the sales process to dealing with solicitors and sales techniques.My main responsibilities were calling applicants, former vendors, buyers and tenants to try and book valuations. It was also about developing a good relationship with these clients to portray the best possible and be there go to person should they have any questions. This was also to build up a decent applicant base once the move into a full negotiator could be made.I learned all the basics I needed from this position to make a start to a career in property.
