In May of 2022, I graduated with a B.S.Ed. in Youth and Social Innovation. During my time at UVA, I also was a member of the football team where I lettered two, out of four years. I was also heavily involved in the Charlottesville community, volunteering with a number of different non-profits, most notably, Computers4Kids (C4K). I volunteered at C4K for three years, two years a volunteered as a mentor, before eventually transitioning and becoming an intern. As a mentor at C4K, I met with a couple different students one-on-one, once a week for an hour, where we worked on semester long project that would be presented to staff, parents, and stakeholders at the end of the semester. I then transitioned to the role of an intern where I helped design, and iterate projects and activities for program participants to work on.Post graduation, I moved back to Georgia, where I worked as a Student Ministry Associate at Cross Pointe Church. There, I also helped design curriculum, but also create a safe, welcoming environment for students, as well as manage volunteers.In April of 2023, I was brought onboard the Youth Development Team at Special Olympics International at their Headquarters in Washington D.C., where I currently work as a Youth Development Specialist. As a Youth Development Specialist, my main responsibility is overseeing the Youth Innovation Initiative, while also supporting general operations and logistics of other projects and initiatives.
