I currently work as a Professor of Physics at Western Nevada College in Carson City, NV. I teach introductory calculus based physics and astronomy classes. I have previously taught as a Lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and at Utah Valley State College (now University) in Orem, UT.I finished my PhD in Physics at the University of Utah in December 2008. My dissertation was about recombination mechanisms is amorphous silicon. I have also worked with GST phase change memory materials (the stuff in your rewritable DVD). Generally I am interested in physics education including informal education.
