Operates, maintains troubleshoots and repairs support systems and equipment in support of US Navy’s Moored Training Ship Training MissionResponsibilities/Accomplishments-Plans and schedules preventive and corrective maintenance for high pressure air compressors and high-pressure air distribution, low pressure air compressors and low-pressure air distribution, oily water collection, separation and disposal, steam collection and disposal, and demineralized water production and distribution-Documents work completion to include issue identified, parts required, people hours expended, cause of issue, and corrective action taken.-Developed maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures and schedules for above-mentioned equipment and systems-Works closely with engineering to identify repair parts and materials as well as troubleshooting for above-mentioned equipment and systems-Developed the required training material and conducted the classroom and hands-on training for the site upgrade to support equipment. Eight operators were successfully trained.

Supervise maintenance personnel in the performance of mill maintenance that includes breakdown repairs, corrective, and preventive maintenance in support of the production of yellow pine lumber.

Supervisor, Quality ControlProvided oversight of contractor construction and quality control activities for Units 2 and 3 at VC Summer Nuclear Station.Accomplishments-Developed over 15 oversight plans for observing contractor construction and quality activities to assure compliance to ASME NQA-1 and ASME SECT III requirements. This improved overall confidence that contractor was performing as required with respect to quality and ensured a standardize checklist was used compare similar activities. -Developed and implemented 20 Quality Control Training modules for Quality Control personnel in preparation for plant operations which also improved oversight.-Supported inspection and witness activities at three safety related vendors. Provided extensive feedback in all instances to improve required documentation as well as in-process activities.-Supported the operating unit (VC Summer Unit 1) during a refueling outage. Supervised 40 Quality Control Inspectors and ensured quality control inspectors were qualified and dispatched to support the outage activities.-Acted as Quality Assurance Supervisor in addition to Quality Control Supervisor for one year. Volunteered to take on the added responsibility which included supervising 9 nine additional personnel and planning and supervising Quality Audits and Surveillances. During this period the number of Surveillances increased from 200 per year to over 600 per year.-Developed and implemented Oversight Strategy for the Construction Quality Systems organization to focus oversight efforts.-Volunteered and Completed Management Senior Reactor Operator Certification training after the original participant dropped out. Training was started a month late and successfully completed.-Acted as the Quality Systems Manager January 2017-March 2017. Interacted daily with the Senior Management Team which included General Managers and Vice Presidents on matters of Quality.

Project ManagerResponsible for installation of various machinery alterations and emergent shipboard repairs.Accomplishments-Planned and executed over 50 shipboard installation projects which included R-114 air conditioning plant modifications, collection, holding and transfer systems modifications and magnetic coupling installations.-Assisted ship’s force in correcting air-conditioning plant problems including troubleshooting to identify failed control relays, under/over charge condition, foaming problems and numerous leaks during the performance of oil accumulator installations as time and funding permitted for 50 Air Conditioning Plants. The performance of the repairs were prudent and provided a cost savings to the US Navy.Quality Assurance Manager
Responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing an ISO 9000 compliant quality program for US Navy shipboard installations and repairs.Accomplishments-Developed and maintained an ISO 9000 compliant Quality Program required by NAVSEA Standard Items for both Life Cycle Engineering, Inc and Amee Bay, LLC.-Prepared Quality Assurance Workbooks for over 100 installation projects on US Navy Ships.-Developed process control procedures, standard operating procedures and standard company forms for performance of work for 50 plus Machinery Alterations and emergent work items.Safety DirectorResponsible for developing, maintaining and implementing as safety program.Accomplishments-Analyzed Amee Bay’s safety statistics and developed a plan to improve Amee Bay over all safety program. The number of recordable safety incidents was reduced by over 75%.-Saved the company thousands of dollars in worker's compensation costs annually by reducing the accident rate from 15 injuries per 100 employees in 2008 to 3 injuries per 100 employees in 2011-Maintained and provided content for the Amee Bay main and safety SharePoint sites so as to improve the overall awareness of all employees to Safety and Company issues.

Quality Assurance Inspector/SupervisorResponsible for oversight of the construction of various fired and unfired pressure vessel and working with Authorized Inspector to complete the work and required paper per ASME requirements.Accomplishments-Scheduled and performed in-process inspections of under construction boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems and setup and witnessed final proof testing prior to shipment to customer. This greatly reduced the number of noncompliant items making it to the customers. Complaints/negative feedback was reduced by 90% as a result of such in process and final inspections.

Field Services Team LeaderResponsible for leading a team in the assembly and startup of Megawatt class carbonate fuel cell power generation units.Accomplishments-Participated in the first time successful assembly and startup of a Megawatt class carbonate fuel cell power generation unit. -Identified and corrected over 100 construction noncompliances during the initial walk downs and startup testing.-Troubleshot and repaired distributed control system (Fisher-Rosemont DeltaV digital automation system) and programmable logic controller (Allen Bradley SLC/5 using RSLogix) problems in the areas of failed components, software issues, and provided recommendations to engineering personnel for programming changes.-Developed operating and maintenance procedures to be used by field service personnel for the assembly, operation and maintenance of the fuel cell power generation unit.-Troubleshot and repaired the US Filter reverse osmosis unit, and the burner management system for fuel cell applications due to programing errors in the initially loaded programs.

Power Plant MechanicResponsible for mechanical repairs of all facets of coal fired electric power generation. Duties included repairs to pumps of all types, pipe fit ups, conveyor belt repairs, boiler tube repairs, bearing replacements (Ball, roller and babbited types), machinery alignments, valve replacement and repairs, heat exchanger cleanings and repair and other power plant equipment repairsAccomplishments-Completed 75% apprenticeship training for Power Plant Mechanic.-Dedicated time after hours to learn and practice various welding methods to include stick, MIG and TIG.
