Picture this: for the show’s 25th anniversary event we decided to go all out: a rooftop ‘floating’ pool fashion show at a very chic, very corporate venue; The Omni Hotel San Diego, who takes great pains to protect their beautiful venue and whose relationship to me is paramount. We needed a special sized canopy to go over the pool top runway that would not impede traffic flow for the Fire Marshall yet would protect all guests and models, oh and that needed to be set in basically an hour and a half, at night, in the dark, on top of the custom built $20,000 acrylic runway, all while keeping a close eye on the well-being of the venue who had never done any constructed production on the small rooftop 6th floor pool area, with limited access, high winds, and ‘do not disturb’ signs on all the suites surrounding the pool area. We don’t ask for much do we? Thomas and Intent to the rescue! Thomas was everything we needed and more: prompt, efficient, intelligent, and amenable to all needs of the show and the venue and at all times showing grace under pressure; not a small feat with a high pressure event. And love that canopy, which Intent shipped from overseas to get to us on time. I have already made calls to let my peers and outdoor venues in San Diego know how fabulous the Intent product is and, of most value of all in the events industry, how fantastic it was to have such a superb product and work with such a great company and their man on the ground, [and on the rooftop], Thomas Hill with Intent Productions."
