Thomas Howard is a Graduate Engineer at Reaction Engines. Colleagues describe them as "Thomas is a fantastic engineer, a quick learner, very capable of figuring things out on his own and also working collaboratively and is a pleasure to work with. He recently completed a placement in my function, a varied project preparing to complete vibration testing of a heat exchanger component. Thomas was able to work with designers to understand how to mount the heat exchanger component in a representative way, completing tolerance stack-ups to ensure this; design, analyse and produce drawings for a fixture using CAD and FEA software; create a test plan based on various industry standards, and produce a statement of work to send to test houses. His work was completed to a high standard and was well documented and he gained skills in many different engineering functions throughout this project. Thomas was also able to confidently present his work to a group of more senior engineers and engage in discussions to answer questions, even though at the time the company future was uncertain which an unnerving situation for all. I'm confident Thomas will thrive in his next role, any company would be lucky to have him."
