• Perform month-end close for JTI subsidiaries including Depreciation, revaluation of monetary items and translation of non-monetary items.• Posting of accruals and prepayments through GRIR process• Regrouping of Assets and liabilities,• VAT reclassifications, foreign currency revaluation and translation,• Performing of Balance sheet analysis of HQ on a monthly basis.• Performing of monthly UFX analysis for senior management and HQ.• Conducting Profit centre checks and preparing profit centre reclasses.• Accruals and prepayments• Ensure all tasks are conducted in line with a regulatory framework of JSOX controls and according to the Global Closing Schedule.

Key area of responsibility: Overseeing the day to day operations of the Accounts Receivables team.• Ensuring that all incoming customer activities are actioned appropriately, in line with the agreed service level agreements whilst adhering to strict financial controls• Overseeing and managing the duties of two direct reports, including training and developments, support, guidance and mentoring to ensure their potential is maximised in the team.• Ensure, as the control owner, the set-up, running and monitoring of Anti-Money laundering (AML) controls, whilst liaising with Corporate Compliance in HQ on any AML policies issues. • Executing and evidencing any J-Sox (Japanese Sarbanes Oxley) controls where identified as a control owner. • Development and implementation of process improvements to ensure that the business can provide a scalable service at optimal cost.
