As a Senior Managing Director of Rowdeston Capital Corp I have provide diverse investment banking services to both Western Canadian corporations and several international corporations with regards to mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, and other financial advisory services.Core competencies include a creative mind set that has a solid track record in assisting its clients in identifying transformational transactions that add significant value for shareholders and / or extract maximum value for the assets successful management teams have developed.Solid track record of adding value for clients overseeing mandates to identify growth opportunities as well as selling businesses for attractive valuations. I have also identified transformational opportunities for companies I have founded and in the process secured financing for and exploited these opportunities. This has enabled me to add significant value for shareholders of both the private and public companies that I have assumed a senior management role in providing the strategic direction required to realize on the opportunities identified (Braveheart, Morumbi, Grail & Quarry).Recently completed an assignment for ATB, assisting them in evaluating creative alternatives to enhance their problem loan realizations by developing strategies and options for the underlying assets securing these loans that would seem their value and loan realizations improve over time rather than selling under difficult market conditions.Spent the past year formulating a comprehensive strategy for the Alberta Government to enhance GHG emission goals by pursuing a well thought out SMR Strategy that would dramatically reduce the provinces GHG emissions from oil sands operations.Currently advising a US SPAC to evaluate a transaction with a international energy company with conventional natural gas operations as well as aggressive plans to expand into the production of RNG from farm waste streams.

May 2004 - Present

President & C.E.O.

Current
Grail Natural Gas Corp.

Calgary, Canada Area

Grail has originally set up to puruse a atrractive oil and gas acquisition of oil and gas assets located in Ontario. Although the opportunity was very attractive and a development plan was developed that offerred a great deal of upside potential timing with respect to the Bankruptcy process prevented Grail from having sufficient time to pull together the necessary financing.Identified undervalued deep sour gas property with significant reserve potential that also benefited from other value opportunities related to GHG storage and up hole lithium potential from salt water brines that reduce risk and improve the upside potential. This provided the foundation for a project to pursue greener diesel blends.Grail has spent the last several years developing various options for developing a greener diesel fuel that would greatly reduce the green house gas emissions attributable to diesel fuel. Although electric options are desirable for many traditional carbon based fuel applications such as traditional vehicle transport they are not a viable option for many heavy equipment related applications that must still rely on diesel fuel. Developing a greener diesel fuel option also has the added benefit of being able to be used in existing engine configurations as the cost of replacing existing equipment is prohibitive and in many cases greener fuel options such as electric is not feasible. The project has stalled as large diesel users lack the commitment to really look at innovative alternatives at this juncture. The sour gas property continues to have significant reserve upside but is better suited to be pursued once natural gas prices improve.https://www.grailng.com/

Past President & Ceo, Founder & Director

Braveheart Oil & Gas Ltd.

Private oil and gas company focusing on light oil opportunities in SE Saskatchewan. Secured highly prospective Missippian and Bakken acreage that offers numerous drilling opportunities. Working with various First Nations Braveheart identified unleased crown land that was the subject of a dispute between the provinical and federal governments. Consequently, the lands were not available for lease and Braveheart identified the most minerally prospective lands and approached several Saskatchewan First Nations to freeze these lands using thier TLE entitlements.Braveheart then secured surface title to the lands and agreed to transfer the surface title to the First Nations at no charge so that they could be converted to First Nation lands and in the process securing mineral title for the First Nation. Braveheart received a First Nation mineral lease on the lands in exchange for transferring surface title. Company was sold in 2014 before our first well was drilled to dominant players in SE Saskatchewan after reserves were evaluated on the lands that were valued at 5.0 x invested capital.

Oct 2008 - Mar 2014

Past President & C.O.O., Founder & Director

Morumbi Resources Inc.

Identified oil and gas exploitation opportunity with the view to taking control of failed TSE listed compnay. Assumed COO role after securing financing to exploit oil and gas opportunity while looking to expand operations internationally in either oil and gas or mineral exploration opportunities in South and Central America, Africa and Asia. Idendified mineral exploration opportunity working with local land owners on the Island of Bougainville that was highly prospective for porphyry mineral opportunities. Bogainville is the site of the Panguna mine of the largest and most profitable gold and copper mines with remaining recoverable reserves of one billion tonnes of copper and 12 million ounces of gold, that has been shut-in since 1989 when local land owners rebelled against the enviromental distruction caused by the mine and the split of the profits with the local land owners who never relinquisted thier traditonal owners over their lands.Morumbi successfully negotiated exploration joint ventures with the assistance of Francis Ona with local land owners with the view to ensuring that they were able to fully participate in the mineral wealth underlying their traditional lands, Francis Ona was a local landowner and General of the Bougainville Revolutionary Army that fought for independence of Bougainville and a halt to the exploitation and environmental destruction of the Island of Bougainville. The local landowners also have asserted that the underlying mineral potential remained theirs to benefit from and exploit in an environmentally responsible manner.Remained on the Board of Directors but relinquished CEO role to individual leading the charge in negotiating with Bougainville landowners to demonstrate companies commitment to the project. Unfortunately political instability and lack of support from the Bougainville government prevented this project from coming to fruition and I left the company to pursue other opportunities .

Dec 2009 - Nov 2012

Past President & C.E.0. & Director

Quarry Oil & Gas Ltd.

Identified transformation acquisition for micro junior oil and gas company with $1.5 mm in cash and 75 boepd of production, negotiating the purchase from an industry major and putting together the financing to complete the transaction. After closing assumed Senior Management of the company and put together a operations and exploration team to exploit the assets acquired and to expand the companies opportunity base to natural gas exploration in NE B.C. based upon utilizing AVO seismic modelling of gething channels. Transformed the company increasing the production base through a combination of exploitation, drilling and exploration from less than 100 boepd to over 1,100 boepd even after spinning off some assets into a TSE listed shell company that realized $.20 in value for shareholders.Quarry was sold in mid 2003 for 6.5 x the price of the company shares traded at when I joined the Company. This was accomplished by building on solid oil production base that was acquired while expanding into full cycle exploration by securing 55,000 net acres of farm-in land in NE B.C. from a large US company targeting the Gething formation.

The real estate operations of Stenberg’s became the cornerstone of the Caisse de Depot’s real estate operations after being acquired from Socanav.
