With over 25 years of experience in media intelligence, analysis, media monitoring and listening, I manage Media Intelligence, the in-house media monitoring, and data analysis business of ASDA’A BCW Dubai. I lead a team of multilingual executives in undertaking the various roles of the Media Intelligence unit to map news coverage, sentiment and other insights across all business verticals in English, Arabic and other languages.One of my key responsibilities is evaluating the daily reporting and analysis of all regional print – dailies, magazines, and trade publications - and online titles to map the coverage and sentiment analysis for the agency’s clients. I flag trending and breaking news that are of strategic importance for various practices. These serve as leads for proactive articles or for reactive statements as well as be aligned with the key industry trends. I support New Business proposal development by providing media landscape analysis including coverage, sentiment and other parameters that are critical in shaping compelling communications strategies and plans. I co-ordinate with the Agency’s regional office network to ensure comprehensive monitoring and the prompt delivery of tailored coverage reports for all retained and large project clients in the agency portfolio.Additionally, I follow alerts on social media channels of over 100 clients to monitor ongoing dialogue and to flag any content that may have reputational impact.I also work with other providers to develop comprehensive media reports, including live broadcast coverage, to provide in-depth and real time insights.With the emergence of Generative AI technologies, I am focused on their integration into Media Monitoring workflows to deliver data insights and analysis with greater depth and precision.I joined ASDA'A BCW 20 years ago from Bates PanGulf PR, where I was part of the Media Relations team handling clients including DSF, DSS, Dubai 2003, Coca Cola, Dubai Investments to name a few.
