Design calculations aim to keep h-pattern shift ratios the same, while minimizing the amount of time that it takes for drivers to complete each gear change. Chevrolet Corvette suspension control arms (C5-C7) - Bushings and bearings. Replace factory rubber bushings with AMT Motorsport aluminum bushings. Measure and custom-machine bushings for each control arm. Assemble bushings in control arms with a shrink fit. Press in bearings and insert snap rings. Assemble arms with ears and/or trunions, and test fit using custom fixtures and Chevrolet Corvette cradles.
