Manage a team of highly skilled specialty adjusters handling complex high exposure commercial casualty claims, including multi-party catastrophic injury claims, environmental/mass torts, coverage, and extra-contractual claims in multiple jurisdictions. Work is concentrated in commercial policies, both primary and umbrella/excess layers.-Provide a high level of technical expertise to adjusters involving liability, damage, coverage, and extra-contractual/bad faith rules in various jurisdictions.-Responsible for setting and recommending large reserves, including appearing and reporting on high exposure claims to executive staff on a regular basis.-Extensive experience directly negotiating and working with adjusters to provide technical and strategic support with regard to resolving high exposure claims.-Review and approve coverage position correspondence as necessary.-Work with and regularly manage outside defense and coverage counsel relationships on a regular basis.

-Internal analysis and handling of all claims against the Merchants Insurance Group entities, including coverage, and extra-contractual liability in multiple jurisdictions. Extensive work with outside counsel related to such matters. Work is concentrated in commercial policies, both primary and umbrella/excess.-Home Office review responsibilities for claims with large and/or complex exposures. Work closely with adjusters in the handling of such claims to ensure proper handling and assessment of exposures.-Direct responsibility for large exposure multi-million dollar casualty claims in multiple jurisdictions where I work extensively with outside counsel. Extensive experience successfully mediating such matters to resolution. -Experience reporting on large exposures to executive level staff.
