As the General Manager of Wanderlust Wine Co. since April 2020, I have played an instrumental role in establishing the company as a pioneer in the self-service wine industry. Our unique concept, which utilizes the same technology as self-serve beer establishments, allows customers to enjoy the largest selection of self-serve wine in the world.One of my primary responsibilities has been the development of the employee handbook, recruitment of new employees, and implementation of training systems to ensure exceptional customer experiences. As the COVID-19 pandemic struck, I worked diligently to adapt our operations to ensure the safety of our customers and employees while maintaining our authentic self-service concept.Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, I was able to help Wanderlust Wine Co. expand to two new locations in Austin. Our business has become an integral part of the local community, particularly within the LGBTQ community, and I have worked hard to develop and manage our events market.As the manager of a team of on-site staff, I am responsible for overseeing all daily operations, including cleaning, setup for events, training staff, receiving products, and maintaining a full inventory of wines and other necessary supplies. Additionally, I am responsible for developing menus and the presentation of our self-serve wine to customers.Providing exceptional customer service is a top priority for me, and I ensure that all staff members follow my lead. I also handle any customer complaints with care and professionalism, and work hard to maintain Wanderlust Wine Co.'s reputation as a top-tier wine establishment. Overall, my expertise in hospitality management, training systems development, and adaptability have been instrumental in the success of Wanderlust Wine Co.
