While at Atkins I had the opportunity to work under very skilled engineers with decades of experience in the Aerospace Industry. In the two years I worked with these engineers I was able to hone my abilities in technical writing, structural analysis, time management, and working in conjunction with designers to meet the requirements of the client.Worked on various multinational projects including structural analysis of wing components (rib panels, manhole surround, castellations, rib-to-spar interface, etc.) as well as fuel tank components (fuel line bracket supports, upper support structural interfaces, manhole hatch and hatch-to-hatch ring interface). Utilized office provided software including CATIA, Patran, VBA, Excel and other Office products to analyze, post process, and present deliverables to clients. Continuing Educations was a huge part of this office which allowed me to complete in house provided courses such as Stress Basics as well as industry standard courses including NAFEMS Training, Practical Introduction to FEA.
