Kennedy Space Center Florida October 2012 – January 31st 2018Project Safety Engineer • CX 39 PAD B KSC Single Point of Contact (NASA SAF-3) for our customer NASA/LX Element Manager relevant to EGS Exploration Ground Systems NASA/Contractor Safety related activities in compliance with KNPR 8715.3 Volume 1 KSC Safety Practices Procedural Requirements• Element Integration Team (EIT) Lead/SME-Subject Matter Expert responsible for but not limited to following:o Directly support NTD-NASA Test Director/CTC-Contractor Test Conductor/SAFETY CONSOLE/EOC-Emergency Operations Center monitoring Space X (CX39A) fueling/hot fire testing & launches for contingency sheltering/evacuation procedures/plans in event of mishaps o Authority for NASA SAF-3 “needed signature” for concurrence for TRRs Test Readiness Review “Go or No Go” testing/operations-identify constraints o Integral part of the design concepts/studies teams in review of future projects that require upgrading existing pad sub-systems, infra-structure, and facilities example: (EM-2 Concept Study LH2 Storage, and Study of EES Emergency Escape System for SLS Block 1B Vehicle)o Responsible Systems/Operations Safety SME for NASA SAF-3 Pad B Developmental/ Ongoing-Refurbishment and Completed Projects:  SLS Block 1 Catacomb Structural Roof Reinforcement Pad B LH2 In-Line Separator design, fabrication, manufacturing, installation and subsequent testing to include water FireX system Refurbishment IOP/SS Ignition Over Pressure/Sound Suppression Pre-Liftoff Water Bypass Valves, ancillary piping, manifolds crescent spray nozzles and subsequent successful water flow testing with simulated ML interfaces 

Project Safety Engineer:• Element Integration Team (EIT) Lead responsible for but not limited to following:o Performing integration across project safety organizations.o Integral part of the design concepts/studies teams in review of future projects that require upgrading existing pad sub-systems, infra-structure, and facilities.o Identifying risks and proposing potential mitigations to EIT Project Managers.o Transitions from design to construction, the EIT Lead communicates with the contractor to help prepare them for starting work in the field. o For EIT design efforts, the EIT Safety Lead communicates with A&E Firms to ensure all safety plans are in order prior to them coming to the field to collect data. o The EIT Safety Lead coordinates within NASA Safety to assure all applicable safety controls and mitigations are considered in the design effort for facility systems within the EIT.
