In my current role, my primary responsibilities include general store presentation and time management for direct subordinates. I am in charge of truck deliveries, receiving purchase orders, contacting district liaisons, coordinating potential remodels, updates, and preparing signage for upcoming promotions. I have successfully led my team through a recent remodel of our store, as well as planogram updates for major departments of the store. All plans were executed in a timely and proficient manner, allowing for customers to shop during the day and resulting in little to no loss of revenue.

Starting as a cashier just a year prior, I had made my way to a department manager in almost 6 months through exceptional animal care and sales. In fact, my department showed a 23% increase of sales in the 2nd quarter and 38% increase in the second quarter. My main responsibility is to take care of various small animal and reptiles, from feeding to cleaning, as well as create a team environment for direct subordinates to actively learn and grow with the company. Aside from that, I have educated guests on the proper products that are in best interested to their needs, explaining the “whys” on the way. I was also in charge of supply orders, direct sales of my department, training new employees on Petco policy, daily store functions, as well as maintaining the stores overall customer satisfaction rating (including the grooming salon).
