Working closely with the Directorate Executive, I assure optimal resource allocation, maintaining elevated standards in service, teaching, and research within a patient-oriented environment. I oversee effective resource utilisation, project development, and activity supervision, providing decisive leadership to all subordinate staff. I serve as the primary agent for improvement within the Directorate, leading service redesign initiatives, and involving front-line staff and patients to ensure the delivery of proficient and economical services. My focus is on inclusivity, guaranteeing involvement from all staff, patients, and the public in achieving our objectives.I’m responsible for performance management within the Directorate, liaising with Matrons and Lead Practitioners to align objectives and ensure broad participation. I prioritise robust internal and external communication, establishing responsive channels within the Directorate and with our external stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged.Collaboratively, I coordinate administrative services across the Group to ensure responsive and efficient delivery of patient care services, teaching, and research. As the Operational Manager, I play a pivotal role in ensuring the Directorate’s needs are reflected in corporate plans while enhancing awareness of national and local planning prerequisites. Meticulous planning in finance, staffing, and equipment is crucial, and I’m committed to ensuring the necessary resources are always available to the Directorate.
